The studio started years ago as a home studio project driven by passion for achieving professional sound. Through many moves and constant refinement, the goal was always to grow beyond the house and into a building. After reaching that milestone, It evolved into a mixing and mastering space built for clarity, precision, and accurate translation. Helping others reach their full potential has become the most fulfilling part of my work. That mission continues to define Vast Audio today.
Corey Buystedt
Growing up, music was always a focus in my family. My dad always had a recording studio in our house. He taught me how to use vintage recording gear and I was fully trained to operate a studio by the time I was 12. I've been playing instruments since I was 7 years old and am fluent in most. After dropping out of high school during my second year, I began training for professional recording. Years of classes later, I started accumulating gear, skills, and experience. I'm excited to work on more projects and to improve Vast Audio.
Gear
The studio is equipped with a wide range of professional gear so artists can create freely without technical limitations. I have multiple electric and acoustic guitars, a versitle collection of guitar pedals, several keyboards and synthesizers, and a selection of microphones suited for vocals and instruments of all kinds. The recording, mixing, and monitoring setup is built to capture clean, detailed audio and produced mixes that translate reliably everywhere. Everything needed to record, shape, and finish a professional release is here and ready to support the project from start to finish.
Live Sound
My experience with live sound grew naturally alongside building the studio. Through years of setting up and running systems in real situations taught me what actually makes a system clear, reliable, and easy to use. Over time, that turned into helping others improve and understand their own setups. If you need help with your existing gear or don't know what is needed to arrive to your goal, I definitely can help. Sharing that knowledge and seeing people gain confidence in their system is incredibly rewarding for me.
